When going abroad, it is recommended that you're well prepared with thorough schemes and preventive measures to make your trip extremely enjoyable and memorable. Below is a list of useful travel tips that you should consider prior you leave for the airport.

1. Register to the State department of the place you plan to go.
2. Make a schedule of your trip to make best use of your time of stay.
3. Make yourself familiar with the rules & regulations of the place.
4. Research for the local weather condition to help you in packing the  kinds of clothing you need.
5. Don't go over baggage.
6. Check on your coverage of your medical insurance overseas
7. Provide copies of your  documents and itinerary with your family who are not going with you for  reference in case of emergency.
8. Bring a road map if it's your first time in that place.
9. Bring allowable medications that you might need along your trip (this especially applies if you have children on board). For prescription medicine, be sure that the prescribed name is the same as the passenger's ticket.
10. Don't bring prohibited stuffs like sharp objects - knife and scissors & liquids and aerosols.
11. If you are to bring electronic equipment such as laptops and cell phones, be sure that these things are fully charged as you may need to turn it on for inspection.
12. Secure your passport, airplane tickets, money and other identification in your handy bag.
13. Know the number of baggage you have, of which you are  allowed to bring. It would be wise to place your name/contact numbers on each bag in case of lost or emergency.
14. Pack your own things.
15. Know the time you must be in the airport
16. Wear comfy clothes; you might be required to remove your shoes or slippers when going through airport security.
